Although a little out of date this research still makes interesting reading for me.
After reading the article results, I agreed and disagreed with some of what I read.
- I agree that the computer isn't the most popular source of entertainment anymore. I use my phone to listen to music which I listen to daily. I also listen to music via YouTube which I do a lot. I also listen to music on the TV to see whats in the charts. I never really listen to music on CD's anymore.
- I have 350 songs on my phone which is very much under the average amount of songs female has which is 1892. However the only reason I don't have many songs is because I have a lack of space on my phone.
- I have barely any songs on my iPad as I just listen to music on YouTube, as I don't like paying for them on ITunes.
- I agree with the findings that most people access the internet at home as I do too via Wifi and using 3G on my phone.
- I agree with findings that parents pay for the internet access, they pay for the Wifi and my phone contract.
- I also agree that being able to copy music to different devices is important.
- I also agree with the 88% who agreed internet would be the thing i'd miss most on a desert island.
- I agree with the 31% who said they pay under £20 per month on entertainment. As I download music for free and stream films or watch films and listen to music on the TV.
- I'm surprised that only 40% illegally downloaded music for free as almost all music I have downloaded is illegal.
