Treatment

For my music video I want it to be mainly narrative where the audience just sees the story between the 2 characters. There would be times where I want the lyrics to match the video such as lip singing to match the lyrics such as ‘If I could have it go any way, any way it'd go like this’, or the couple texting what the lyrics are saying. I also want the video footage to match the lyrics 'If I could say anything, anything what would it be?' id have a question mark drawn in the sand to amplify the lyrics.
I also want the video beginning with the girl looking through a photo album, looking through their relationship. As for the end I want the video to end with the couple walking on the beach in the sunset to amplify end of the song end of the day.
I would have it filmed in the different seasons to show that the relationship is long term. Id have a few different locations so it looks like a video of the different parts of the relationship. Id want the video to be quite relaxed to amplify the relaxed feel of the song.
I want to use a range of different shots such as a close up of holding hands to a long shot of them walking on the beach so the audience gets to see a range of different aspects of the couples relationship.

At the beginning of the song I would have the character looking through their photo album at a range of photos. To show the long term relationship of what they've done, it would be a set up to what the video is about.

Id like to use this crane shot for the beginning of the video so the audience can only see what is needed to be seen. I can then have a shot going in to the girl looking through the photo album. This would have a good effect as the audience could see the surroundings of the girl before focusing on the albums pictures themselves.

I would have a range of beach shots in my video to show the summer romantic relaxed look. I want there to be shots done on the beach to show the calm atmosphere. Id have some of the filming done in the day time and the night time.

'If I could say anything, anything what would it be?' for this lyric I'd want a question mark to be drawn in the sand while this is said. As I want the lyrics to directly match what is happening on the screen. I think this would have a good effect as the audience could see had hear matching lyrics.

I want there to be lip singing at certain points with a close up shot of the lips singing like this:

Id want the colour red or a bright pink as they are quite love/ romantic colours. Having a bright colour lipstick with a white background would have a great affect as it would have the lips stand out.

I also plan to film at the Tower of London and get a camera shot of London. As this would show the audience some of what the couple does and where they have been, it would also fit with the relaxed feel of the song.

In my video there are times when I want the couple to be texting the lyircs to eachother this is because I want the lyrics to match the texts. This is an example of what I want in my video this is from 'Roar' by Katy Perry. However I want the whole text without being replaced my emojis and only use emojis at the end of the text message. The audience could then hear and see the lyrics which would be a good effect to use in my video.

I want the couple to be holding hands in the car as they drive along I could then get shots of where they are driving to them holding hands to the girl having her feet up on the dashboard.

I want to have over lapping of footage on the beach of in the corner the couple are cuddling and then in the background they are in the sea. For this I would need to film each section without pausing the camera or it would ruin the continuity of the video. This is an example of what I want but it would be with less splits and different action in each 'split' with the same background.

At the end of the video id like the split scene to be done is the sunset/ dusk. This is because the end is ending so I want the end of the song to be like the end of the day where the day and song end together.

Below are the types of scenes I want to use in my video for the split scene at the end:

I want them to be happening at the same time but at different sections at the beach. I want to use the beach and have couple walking on it and having a laugh and have this at the end, to end the video on a happy and romantic bit. Say anything ends on a relaxed feel which is why I want the video to end on the beach.
