Firstly I drag in video number 1 in the video 1 tab. I then drop the video number 2 on top of video number 1 in the number 2 tab.
I then go to video effects then go to Transform and drag in the 'Crop' on video number 2.
Then I go to 'Effect Controls' and click on 'Crop'.
Then click on the video with the action in and crop the action so it matches and you can see both sides of the action.
Then click off of the crop and then you have a split screen action.

Now I have had a go at doing a split screen I can now use this technique in my music video. In case I got to filming and couldn't film the continuity right I can now film the split screen myself and get the continuity right as iv had a practice already. I now plan to use this in 2 different parts on my video so doing a practice of the split screen was very helpful.
